# How Guhan Credits Work — Usage, Limits, and Top-Ups

> Guhan uses a credit system to meter prospect research and outreach. Learn how credits are consumed, how to monitor usage, and how to add more.

Credits are the currency Guhan uses to measure your outreach activity. Every time Guhan researches a prospect, enriches contact data, or sends a message on your behalf, it draws from your monthly credit balance. Understanding how credits are consumed helps you plan campaigns, stay within your allocation, and top up before you run dry.

## What Uses Credits

Not every action in Guhan costs credits — intent signal scanning is always free. Credits are consumed only when Guhan takes action on a prospect:

* **Prospect research (research brief)** — 1 credit per prospect. Triggered when Guhan builds a personalised research brief before reaching out.
* **Contact enrichment** — 1 credit per prospect. Covers email verification and LinkedIn profile matching.
* **Outreach messages** — credits vary by channel:
  * LinkedIn message or connection request
  * Email (standard or follow-up)
  * WhatsApp message
* **Intent signal scanning** — scanning LinkedIn for buying signals does **not** consume credits. You're only charged when Guhan acts on a signal.

<Note>
  Credits are shared across all users on your account. Coordinate with your team to avoid running out mid-month.
</Note>

## Checking Your Credit Balance

Go to **Dashboard → Credits** to see:

* **Current balance** — credits remaining in this billing cycle
* **Credits used** — total consumed since your last reset
* **Days until reset** — how many days until your balance refreshes

You can also set up low-balance alerts from the same screen so you're never caught off guard mid-campaign.

## Credit Resets

Your credit balance resets on your **billing date** each month. Unused credits do **not** roll over — they expire at the end of each cycle. If you consistently finish the month with a large surplus, consider downgrading to a lower plan. If you regularly run out early, either upgrade your plan or buy a credit pack.

## Buying Credit Packs

When your monthly allocation runs low, you can top up with a credit pack without changing your plan.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Billing Settings">
    Navigate to **Settings → Billing → Credits**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Buy Pack">
    Click **Buy Pack** and choose the pack size that fits your needs. Packs start at **\$10 for 200 credits**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm Purchase">
    Your credit pack is charged to your saved payment method and the credits are added to your balance instantly.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Credit pack credits are consumed **after** your monthly plan credits. They do not expire and carry forward until used.

## Ask Guhan Tokens

Ask Guhan tokens are **separate** from your outreach credits and power the built-in AI assistant. Use Ask Guhan to get instant answers about your campaigns, prospects, and pipeline — without leaving the app.

* **Allocation** — 100,000 tokens per seat per day, included in all plans
* **Reset** — daily, at midnight in your account timezone
* **Purchasable separately** — no; tokens are included with every plan and cannot be bought as a standalone add-on

If you hit your daily token limit, Ask Guhan will let you know and the quota resets the following day. Heavy users can add more seats to increase their total daily token capacity.
