# Companies

> The organizations your prospects work at.

A **Company** is the org a Prospect works for. Companies are first-class records with their own detail page, signals, and filters.

## What's in a Company record

* **Name, domain, LinkedIn URL**
* **Industry** — LinkedIn's taxonomy (Software Development, Financial Services, etc.)
* **Headcount** — current employee count
* **HQ location** — country + city
* **Description** — pulled from LinkedIn's company page
* **Signals** — recent funding, hiring activity, growth metrics (what drives your Watchlist Agent)
* **Related prospects** — everyone you've discovered at this company

## Companies page

The **Audience → Companies** page shows every org Guhan has discovered:

* **Filter by** — industry, headcount range, HQ, has-prospects
* **Search by** — name, domain
* **Sort by** — most recent, name, headcount

By default it shows companies with **at least one landed prospect**. Toggle **Include companies without prospects** to see everyone (including companies discovered via a signal but where nobody landed yet).

## Blocking a company

If you never want to reach out to anyone at a company:

* **Block a company** → automatically applies Do Not Contact to every prospect at that company + prevents future prospects at this company from landing

Common uses:

* Blocking your own company (so you don't outreach yourself)
* Blocking competitors (auto-detected — see Brand & Voice → Competitors)
* Blocking customers you already have relationships with

## How companies get discovered

Three ways:

1. **Via a prospect** — you found a person; Guhan pulls their employer as a Company
2. **Via a signal** — a signal like "funded recently" finds a Company first; then people at that Company get pulled
3. **Manual** — you can add a company by URL in Advanced mode

## Deleting

Companies are NOT deletable from the UI (chat agent tools can't delete them either). Blocking is the typical action.
