Guhan writes Auto-draft and Guided messages fresh for each prospect, using what it knows about your company, your product, and the person. If you want exact wording, use a Fixed message instead. You choose per step. Each message step in your sequence is set to Auto-draft, Guided, or Fixed message.

What Guhan reads before it writes

For every AI-written message:
  • The prospect - name, title, company, headline, past roles, and where they are based.
  • Research on the prospect - a short brief Guhan builds from their profile and company. If a prospect has none yet when a message is due, Guhan builds one at that moment so the message is not generic.
  • The reason they are on your list - the signal that brought them in, when there is one.
  • Your brand - your company name and story, industry, customer pain points, preferred language, and the tone and words-to-avoid you set in Brand & Voice.
  • Your product - the product you attached to the campaign. See Products.
  • The campaign - its goal and context note.
  • Where the message sits - a first LinkedIn invite is short; a follow-up email later in the sequence can say more.
  • Your instructions - in Guided mode, the angle, hook, and call to action you wrote for that step.
Change your brand voice or product once and every message written from then on follows it.

Choosing a message mode

Fixed messages are filled in with {{tokens}} like {{firstName}} and {{company}} and are sent word for word. They cost no credits. Auto-draft and Guided use 1 credit per message. See Plans and credits. Templates give you a ready-made starting point for Guided or Fixed steps.

Opening with a recent post

On a LinkedIn DM step you can turn on Reference their recent posts & activity. Guhan then reads one of the prospect’s recent posts and can use it as the opener. If the prospect has no usable post, the message is written without one. LinkedIn comment and react steps work on one of the prospect’s recent posts too. You choose between their latest post and their most-engaged one, and how old a post may be. With no qualifying post, the step is skipped.

Preview before you launch

Open any message step and use the preview to pick one of your prospects and read the draft Guhan would write for them. Check that it:
  • Sounds like you.
  • Refers to something specific about that person.
  • Has a clear, low-effort call to action.
If it misses, adjust your instructions, your brand voice, or the campaign context, and preview again. Previewing does not send anything.

Stay in control

  • Require approval before sending - turn this on for any message step and Guhan holds each draft in your Tasks until you approve it.
  • Fixed message - removes the AI from that step entirely.
  • Pause at any time - see Launch and manage.

If something is off

Fill in the campaign goal and context, attach a product, and add detail to your brand setup. Guided mode with a specific hook usually helps more than Auto-draft.
A token in the text had no value for that prospect (for example {{company}} for someone with no company on file). Guhan skips the send rather than send a blank. Remove the token, or add a fallback in the wording.
Update the tone and words-to-avoid in Brand & Voice. It applies to the next messages Guhan writes, not ones already sent.
