What you can block
Those are the only two kinds. There’s no block for a LinkedIn profile URL or a phone number, so to keep someone out you block their email address or their company’s domain.
Add entries
1
Open the list
Go to Settings → Do-Not-Contact list.
2
Paste entries
Put one email address or domain on each line. Entries are lowercased and trimmed, and adding one that already exists is harmless. Lines that aren’t a valid email or domain are rejected and listed so you can fix them.
3
Add to list
Choose Add to list. You can search existing entries from the same page.
Block a company
On the Companies page or a company’s detail page, choose Block. This adds the company’s domain to the DNC list and marks the company as blocked, together in one step. Unblocking a company doesn’t remove its domain from the DNC list. Remove the entry on the DNC page if you want it gone. What happens when you add an entry
Adding an entry takes effect right away, including on people already in your workspace:- Prospects already in sequences that match are paused and won’t receive further messages.
- Matching prospects in your Lists are marked as unsubscribed.
- New prospects that match are rejected before they are added to a List.
Removing an entry
Removing an entry doesn’t bring anyone back. Prospects who were paused stay paused, and prospects marked as unsubscribed stay that way. To re-engage someone, add them back to a List and enroll them in a Campaign yourself.Good to know
- DNC is per workspace. Blocking
acme.comin one workspace doesn’t block it in another. - You can add up to 500 entries at a time.
- There’s no import or export; entries are added by pasting.
If something’s off
- A blocked person still got a message. Check that the entry matches the address they were sent to. An entry for a person’s work email doesn’t cover a different address of theirs.
- I can’t see the DNC page. The Settings row is shown to admins. See Roles and permissions.
